Keyframe Buddy - After Effects Script
Keyframe Buddy - After Effects Script
As a Motion Designer, I constantly seek ways to speed up my workflow. Dealing with multi-layer and multi-keyframe animations can often be cumbersome. That's why I developed my own tool, designed to streamline these processes.
- The Pro version of this tool features three key sections:
- Quick Select: Quickly select layers, streamlining your workflow before adding keyframes.
- Quick Add: Rapidly add keyframes to layers that already have existing keyframes.
- Quick Keyframe: Easily set keyframes for the 5 most commonly used motion design properties.
- The Lite version includes one essential section.
My goal was to make every action quick and efficient, and I hope this tool can significantly benefit your workflow too.
Here's how to install and use Keyframe Buddy in After Effects:
- Get the Keyframe Buddy.jsx file.
-
Move the script: Place Keyframe Buddy.jsx into After Effects' ScriptUI Panels folder:
-
Windows:
Support Files\Scripts\ScriptUI Panels
(within your AE installation) -
Mac:

(within your AE installation)
-
Windows:
-
Open in After Effects: Launch After Effects, then go to
